RESULTS 2011 

Gourock Highland Games has three major competitions: 

The West of Scotland Junior Highland Dance Championship (age 7 years to 15 years)
(organised by May Hughes on behalf of Inverclyde Council) 

 Events in the Championship this year were
1.  The Highland Fling
2.  Sword Dance
3.  Sean Triubhas
4.  Reel

There was also a Primary Event for age 5 years and six years.  Events were:
1.  Pas de Basque
2.  Pas de Basque and High Cuts
3.  Fling (4 Steps)
4.  Sword (2 slow, 1 quick)

The Gourock Pipe Band and Drum Majors' Competition
(organised by the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association, Glasgow and West of Scotland Branch on behalf of Inverclyde Council)

There were seven sections in the 2011 Event
1.  Novice/Juvenile
2.  Grade 4
3.  Grade 4A
4. Juvenile
5.  Grade 3
6.  Grade 2
7.  Grade 1
